Wow! 😮

Wow! What a super Saturday!

After a week off Newton travelled down to Plymouth to face Devonport 2s. Newton started as they meant to go on immediately putting pressure on Devonport’s defence. They were soon rewarded with Aimee scoring two goals in quick succession, quickly followed by goals from Eleanor and Nikki - putting Newton 4-0 up within 17 minutes! 😱

Newton maintained their pressure and with another goal from Eleanor and one from Vics before halftime, Newton went into the break 6-0 up!

Going into the second half Newton wanted to keep the pressure high and were once again rewarded with Nancy earning a 10 minute hat trick, this was soon followed by Aimee earning a second half hat trick and taking her tally to five goals!

Devonport were resilient and kept their spirits high and continued to battle against Newton’s onslaught, rebuffing a number of attempts at goal.

However it was Newton that had the final say with Eleanor finishing her hat trick and Vics rounding out the scoring to make it 14-0 to Newton at the final whistle. 🤩
