2019 -2020 Season

Well, I think we can all agree that 2020 has been quite the year!

What a season Newton have had as well!! We went into the Christmas break not only undefeated but having won every single match! We started off just as well in January and finished the season in second place, our highest ever finish in this division - fingers crossed the streak continues when the 2020-2021 season can start again.

This year, we welcomed lots of new players to our team and met lots of new faces through Back to Hockey. Our training sessions sometimes looked slightly odd as we dressed up for Halloween, Christmas and a Sport Relief night - where we raised over £100 for charity (thanks to lots of cake)!!

The season ended earlier than planned due to Coronavirus, and us all heading into lockdown so we haven't been able to play at various tournaments, or organise our pay to play but the main thing is that we're all safe and hopefully we'll be back on the pitch in no time!
