Another super performance!

Newton hosted Devonport Services 3 today and once again got off to a flying start with Frankie Thompson scoring in the opening minutes of the game! This was quickly followed by two from player of the match Eleanor Manley, putting Newton 3-0 up inside the first 10 minutes!

Devonport regathered themselves and held off waves of Newton's attack, however, Newton eventually broke through again through some fantastic passing between our midfield and attack, with Nancy Ellis, Meg Smale and Aimee Scott linking up beautifully resulting in Newton scoring another three goals in quick succession - once again from Frankie and Eleanor giving them both a first half hat trick and sending Newton into halftime 6-0 up!!

Newton went into the second half hoping to replicate the first and get some more goals on the scoreboard. Some lovely passing between Nikki Hobbs, Harriet Ellis and Holly Wines put the pressure on Devonport once again with Nikki storming into the D before Aimee finished off the cross. Devonport managed to bag themselves a goal from a short corner which fired Newton up again, not happy with having conceded Newton charged forward with Frankie getting her fourth of the game before Nikki and Holly fired home to add their names to the score sheet putting Newton at 10!  

Newton had the final say of the game with Eleanor earning her fourth to end the match 11-1!!
