What a performance!!

Newton travelled to Okehampton today hoping to continue their winning streak and to treat their coach Nick to a birthday win, but I don't think anyone was expecting the result!

Newton started bright once again scoring early in the first half with Eleanor Manley opening the scoring before Frankie Thompson scored two more putting Newton 3-0 up in the first 15 minutes, before Nikki Hobbs stepped up to score a Penalty Flick!!

This was quickly followed by a goal from Nancy Ellis and another from Nikki making it 6-0 to Newton. Okehampton scored a well deserved goal from a short corner, however, not satisfied with having conceded Newton restarted the match with intent with Nancy running down the pitch to put Newton 7-1 ahead. Newton continued to pile the pressure on Okehampton with joint players of the match Harriet Ellis and Mandy Isherwood linking up through the midfield to help maintain the attack before a goal from Aimee Scott just before half time sent Newton 8-1 up at half time!

Newton went into the second half hoping to keep the momentum going, with Aimee scoring three in quick succession, making it the second week she's got herself four goals!

Eleanor got herself on the scoresheet again before Frankie stepped up to take another penalty flick, securing her hat trick in style! Two more goals were still to come from Newton with both Frankie and Mandy scoring from Short Corners ending the game 15-1 to Newton!!

A shout out to Okehampton who battled throughout the game and to their goalie who put in some fantastic saves!
